ROTC Leader's Training Course

Eighteen Hundred and Twenty College Students from across the Country participated in the 2009 Fort Knox ROTC Leader's Training Course. Seven groups of 260 cadets cycled through the course over a six-week period. The Commission co-hosted seven Family Day Receptions for the parents of the cadets that came to see their sons and daughters graduate from the program. During each reception, the families were given an overview of what their cadet had experienced during the 29-day course. The Commission provided refreshments and literature on points of interest in the area. The Commission also sponsored the "Bold Leader Spirit Award". The highly coveted award was presented to a cadet in each cycle who demonstrated inspirational small unit leadership and warrior spirit.
