On Wednesday, September 27, 2006, twenty-one community leaders participated in the "Radcliff Lodging Familiarization Tour". This tour was the first of its kind held in the Radcliff/Fort Knox area and was the brainchild of the Radcliff Hotel Association. The Radcliff/Fort Knox Convention and Tourism Commission provided administrative support and paid for the bus, which was utilized to transport the participants. Additionally, Executive Director, Kelly Barron served as the official Tour Escort.

Basically, the tour provided attendees with a first-hand look at what the Radcliff hotels are doing to enhance tourism thereby bringing in additional revenues to the community. In recent years, every hotel in Radcliff has upgraded and increased amenities.

The Commissioners and staff would like to extend their appreciation to the owners and managers of the Radcliff hotels and motels for the extra effort that they put in to preparation for the event. Congratulations on a job well done!
